Water, Sewer & Garbage

The Village of Neponset provides garbage removal and water services.

​

The bill for all three services will come at one time, every 2 months. Payments may be dropped off at Neponset Village Hall during business hours, deposited in the night drop, or mailed to The Village of Neposet PO Box 79, Neponset, IL 61345

​

Garbage is picked up every Wednesday morning starting at 4am. Please put your trash cans out the night before. Each resident is allowed two (2) - 32-gallon garbage cans weighing no more than 50 pounds per can. Holes must be drilled in the bottom of cans to let water drain. If your trash can is more than 50 pounds it will not be picked up.

Water rates are calculated individually, according to water usage.

Neponset Clean Up Days

The Village of Neponset offers 2 clean up days per year, one in May and one in October. The days and times will be posted in advance, as well as a list of accepted items.

Burn Days

Only yard waste and papers may be burned on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays 8am - 8pm. No burning of garbage or tires. Burn barrels are prohibited. Violators will be prosecuted.

Village  Burn Pile

The Village burn pile is located across the street from the Community Building, behind the trailer in the empty lot. Residents may bring tree and yard waste to burn in the pile. No wood with nails, garbage or trash.
