BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Community Building
November 19, 2022
Attending board members: Barb Safiran, Sue Aldred, Sid Dev, Matt Benecke, Mandy Donovan, Julius Maes, and Mayor Dave Mueller.
Meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.
October Board Minutes, November Treasurers’ Report, and November Invoices payable
Motion to approve Barb Safiran, 2nd Sid Dev, roll call vote all ayes.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Water and Sewer – Sid Dev/Markus Chapman – We are checking for grants to assist in the repair of the north pond at the sewer plant.
Community Events & Building Permits – Barb Safiran –No Permits. Halloween went well. We had 60 kids. Planning a trivia night.
Ordinances and Garbage Collection – Sue Aldred –. Sent out letters about unregistered doges with a copy of the ordinance.
Police, Emergency Plan – Mandy Donovan – Nothing to report.
Streets – Matt Benecke – We can start getting salt this Friday.
Village Equipment – Julius Maes – Checked in to snow removal.
Finance, Insurance, License & Fees – Dave Mueller – Monthly budget discussion.
MAYOR’S REPORT
Shelter in the Park - $31,269.97 in the account.
Housing Rehab Round 2 – There will be a public hearing right before our December meeting.
Nextlink Contract – We have a contract. We are having our lawyer look it over.
Animal Ordinance- working on it.
Electronic Sign – Working on finding a good location for the sign.
IDNR Grant – We have submitted the paperwork for the grant.
Ordinance 780 – Boarding kennels & Pet shops – will look into this more.
Ordinance 781 – Tax Levy – We are revising to add streets.
Bid on Terry Smith House Demo – Mandy Donovan made a motion to accept the bid from Kirk Dana for $9,800, 2nd Sid Dev.
