BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Community Building

June 19, 2024 @ 7:00 pm

 

 

Attending board members: Sue Aldred, Matt Benecke, Jill Dzekunskas, and Mayor Dave Mueller. Absent: Julius Maes, Sid Dev, Emali Porter

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.

 

May Board Minutes, April Treasurers’ Report, and June Invoices payable

Motion to approve Matt Benecke, 2nd Jill Dzekunskas, roll call vote all ayes.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Water and Sewer – Sid Dev/Markus Chapman – Discussion of meter installation.

Community Events & Building Permits – Emali Porter –Discussion on Picnic Days.

Police & Ordinances - Sue Aldred – More letters sent out about cleaning up properties. Some going to court this Friday.

Garbage & Emergency Plan – Jill Dzekunskas – Garbage truck repairs done by Neponset Truck & Tractor, alternator, and air brake leak.

Streets – Matt Benecke –Matt made a motion to accept the estimate from Ace in The Hole to be reimbursed from the Motor Fuel Tax Fund, 2nd Jill Dzekunskas, roll call vote, all ayes.

Village Equipment – Julius Maes – Nothing to report.

MAYOR’S REPORT

Budget – Discussion on budget

Shelter in the Park & IDNR Grant – Shug from NCICG informed us that this grant is ready to start.

Housing Rehab Round 2 –25 people attended the Meeting on June 12th. We will be taking applications for 6 weeks.

Electronic Sign – We have a new contact that will get the process moving.

Planning committee - meeting on July 1, 2024, at 6:30pm at the Neponset Community Building.

 

Jill Dzekunskas made a motion to accept the LP contract for the sewer plant, and pay the amount upfront, 2nd, Matt Benecke, roll call vote, all ayes.
