BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Community Building

January 17, 2024 @ 7:00 pm

 

 

Attending board members: Sue Aldred, Emali Porter, Matt Benecke, Jill Dzekunskas, Julius Maes, and Mayor Dave Mueller. Absent: Sid Dev

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.

 

October Board Minutes, October Treasurers’ Report, and November Invoices payable

Motion to approve Jill Dzekunskas, 2nd Matt Benecke, roll call vote all ayes.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Water and Sewer – Sid Dev/Markus Chapman – We are starting to receive meters.

Community Events & Building Permits – Emali Porter –No Permits. Starting to work on Easter.

Police & Ordinances - Sue Aldred – Roll call vote all ayes to take down a shed on E. Main Street.

Garbage & Emergency Plan – Jill Dzekunskas – No delays with garbage during snow. Reminder - that only 4-6 bags at 25 pounds each or 2-3 trash cans (32gallon only) are allowed each week. We are looking for a back-up for a garbage truck driver (must have CDL) and someone one on the back of the truck.

Streets – Matt Benecke – Discussion on salt.

Village Equipment – Julius Maes – Everything is working well.

MAYOR’S REPORT

Budget – Discussion on budget

Shelter in the Park & IDNR Grant - No updates currently.

Housing Rehab Round 2 –Waiting on DECO.

Ordinance 791 – ATV, UTV, and golf carts – Will discuss further.

Electronic Sign – Completing questionnaire and signing lease.
