BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Community Building

October 16, 2024 @ 7:00 pm

 

Attending board members: Mayor Dave Mueller. Julius Maes, Sid Dev, Steve Blades Jill Dzekunskas. Absent: Sue Aldred and Emali Porter.

 

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.

 

July Board Minutes, July Treasurers’ Report, and August Invoices payable

Motion to approve Sid Dev, 2nd Julius Maes, roll call vote, all ayes.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Water and Sewer – Sid Dev/Markus Chapman –51 meters left to install for this year.

Community Events & Building Permits – Emali Porter –Working on Halloween Party.

Police & Ordinances - Sue Aldred – Police gave out 2 warnings. Sid made a motion to purchase a taser for $2,000. 2nd Jill Dzekunskas, roll call vote, all ayes.

Garbage & Emergency Plan – Jill Dzekunskas – No problems during cleanup days. We made two trips to the transfer station.

Streets – Steve Blades –We are dragging alleys.

Village Equipment – Julius Maes – Everett needs to prep plow truck for winter.

MAYOR’S REPORT

Budget – Discussion on budget.

Shelter in the Park & IDNR Grant – Survey was completed. Golf outing income went towards Park fund.

Housing Rehab Round 2 –4 more people picked up packets, we need more applicants. Ten have been approved.

Electronic Sign – We received the ok to install the sign. Ameren will be checking the meter.

Ordinance 796 – Jill Dzekunskas made a motion to approve ordinance 796 pertaining to Prohibiting Unusual and unnecessary loud noise, 2nd Sid Dev. Roll call vote, all ayes.

Ordinance 797 –Tax Levy ordinance 797, motion passed unanimously.

 

A Motion to Adjourn made by Jill Dzekunskas, 2nd Steve Blades, motion carried.
